New Sales Plan - Upside Potential

Can someone clarify the upside potential under the new comp plan? With the shift to quarterly targets, is there a meaningful opportunity to over-attain, or does this structure make that less likely?

Exactly. You have zero control over your quota. Some may say you negotiate, but from what I see, you can what you get.

Maybe they see AI taking over Sales People's jobs. This is a quick way to get rid of most of them. I have no friggin' idea.

Not the reason I left but another reason I'm glad I did. Looks like you can make some great cash if you do well. The problem is that quotas and account alignment are not in your control so I doubt it will work out in the sales reps favor.

They do want you to overperform but once you do, they do all in their power to get you below target. Shift good accounts from you, review yiur deals etc

I’m in DTS - we have around 80 reps and fewer than 10 actually hit their numbers. You can decide for yourself if they are cookin the books.

The median average of reps that hit their number last year was something like 30% and the median attainment, in Fed anyway, was 40%. For the 30% of people who will make it by jumping through fiery hoops, I suppose they could break even so there is that. Maybe this is just "temporary" while the big AI server deals are happening and they know nobody will break 60%. Maybe it's to cut pay and tread water while Project Maverick gets it's silllies out so they can finally get rid of 50% of the salesforce through attrition.

In theory you have 2 times to hit multipliers within the half. Now based on quotas and IF we will have anything to sell/ship that’s another story. Only time will tell but if it lays out like last half half the team will miss
