There is a layoff coming across Optum Health on 1/23. Unsure of size, but believe it to be significant.
All this while M&R “leadership” is at an offsite meeting in Scottsdale staying at the Grand Hyatt ($1K/night). Each attendee received a pair of air pods as an attendee gift, all while merit increased of 1% was announced earlier in the week.
@ab that was a STUPID remark. if you are laid off... there is no job for anyone to take. However you are..... you certainly do not own any compassion. stay off the board if you do not have anything to offer people in times of stress and loss. smh praying for you.
@ac its the worst i have ever seen. constant layoffs, constant stress if you will be canned. this is aside from terrible comp, being burned out, etc. even if you werent laid off today you need to look for other options
@ab there are hundreds of employees that in many cases would rather be unemployed than continue to work here. What does that tell you? This is one of the most active layoff forums I have ever seen with the most disgruntled people. This company is not normal. Yeah, places offshore, yes other places have toxic cultures but this places is doing that at 100x level.

This place is toxic and horrible to work at. There’s no fixing it at this point, and with new leadership fully onboard with increasing offshore roles, U.S. employees are essentially doomed. They literally posted about the open position within Optum Insight for “VP Globalization Optum Insight Revenue Cycle Operations” with a description stating their target would be to offshore 1,900 positions in 2026. That says everything. Still do not understand how the news or government has not stepped in with all the corruption, fraud, and abuse.
Shameful! Makes you feel like your nothing and I can see them laughing together about having lay people off. Karmas a B***h!
