Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Union is the answer

Like it or not, Union at Citi is the answer to all the chaos and pain and stop Kane from su-king every bit of blood from its employees. We all need to come together and start the Union process.

I agree 100%. We need better wages and for our jobs to stop going to India, Philippines, and Costa Rica. I just have no idea on how to go about it.

Unions are not communist, by definition they are a capitalist construct, and collective bargaining is free speech and free association. Very American ideals. And we non union workers even today enjoy many benefits we take for granted which were fought for and won by unions.

@b1 Why..it will help people like you to do the politics and play the dirty game without hindrance? Keep this advice to yourself as you may need it when will be in the same situation , we are suffering today.if we put paper or get RIF'ed they would get their new prey .changing job should be a choice not the only option.. and what if there also same Bs going on? And why and how a group of people (or my manager) [not even the bank] can decide when we should switch

A union? Lol, get the eff out of here with that Communist b.s. Don't like the company, the job or how you are treating? Move on to a company that you don't have to be so tortured by the evil big companies and your oppressive 6 figure compensation.

It's worse in some cases, imagine mine ..my manager is such a$$hole even his boss knows..but right now in this crisis he is supporting him not the team. Not a single solution he has given till date.. things has only been worse.. anyone in that position would do better than him..I literally don't know why still management is supporting him?

@OP

Then as the OP, YOU start the Union. I'm sure you know how to Google, "How do you start a Union in a USA bank.".

Completely agree..each and everything what is happening is wrong... whoever is going to defend by telling layoff is not wrong.. giving poor performance is not wrong to them - agree these aren't wrong but trust me they're just using these on wrong people.. they're not laying off the redundant role they're laying off the one who is threat to them(manager) , they're not giving 4 who is not performing they're giving who is a potential candidate for promotion and asking for it and again a threat to them..to prevent this we need a union
