Performance based reductions to take place in February! Bottom 8-10% will be cut after the holidays. This will not fall under the RIF numbers and will categorized differently to avoid Federal regulations and penalties. Its going to be Hunger Games Verizon style. Truely unfair to hold people hostage for the holidays and then discard. Makes me sick.

@d41 Yes, here is your update... the OP was full of, well you know... K and R and A and P.
It's now Feb 19: any updates on potential layoffs this month?
I heard that Verizon India will be sold to vendors like Hcl, tcs or infosys. And only Verizon US remains.. along with vendors
@a3 no. not based on performance. this is a workforce restructuring reduction. the company will get sued if they backfill. if it is performance based, they would have said so and they can backfill. they laid off people back in August for performance so they can backfill. but not this one.
I heard that the target reduction is 29k. only 13k was laid off. obviously there will be more. if you are terminated due to performance, company can lay you off without severance and the 90 day notification. so maybe the 13k got a better deal. they will definitely cut down benefits for 2026.
Our leaders said so, another layoffs likely in Feb. Why aren't you believing op. The real cut was supposed to be 20k. But only 13k got cut yesterday. Another batch coming
Re: the claim that there will be performance-based firings in Feb... is this an opinion based on insider information? Or is this a fact based on evidence that hasn't been shared. Just looking for a reason to trust this claim.
@OP rather they cut you now?
@a6 Not true, you think all the store closures and leases are up at the same time?! More stores will close. True many reps will be moved but bottom reps in Feb WILL be let go. Bank it and screen shot it for your records.
Total tosh...! In our group the two that were just booted were low performers and struggled, one was even on a PIP! So there goes your theory! As for Feb, you don't know anything. We can only have 1 more headcount reduction and then the workload becomes overwhelming and not humanly possible to complete all the task given to us within a task timeline, even working 12 hours a day 7 days a week. We were also told that there is a good chance 1 of the positions will be back filled in the new year. So please, move on with your tosh.
The people posting their conspiracy theories are partly to blame for the demise of the company, although they are too entitled to ever self-reflect. I hope all of the dead weight gets pruned so we can get back on the right road again.
many of these right now are performance based w/ potential to backfill
I don't think Performance based reductions receive a package, another way they save.
Hunger Games is what's happening right now
