Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

All true - Global real estate

Reports that Verizon leadership had denied mass closings are false. I work closely with Global Real Estate. We have stopped renewing some Retail leases about a year ago in preparation for mass closings. This will equate to about 2/3 stores per district being closed. Verizon wants out of the expensive in-person experience and move to AI. By 2030 all retail will be shifted to an app.

I wish everyone here the best.

@b6 not when trained on the specific industry. The AI will be dedicated to running the transactions and setup which it kind of does already, they just need to move their customers over to doing it.... Others competitors will follow one will promote how they have real people still

There's a mixture of truth in all of these statements. I believe it will be a big hit on retail, but 15K people will impact a lot more than retail.

@a3 your ridiculously improper use of commas leads me to believe that your reply has zero credibility.

I would believe OP over this person.
