Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

First ROE & I have only been here for a couple of months

I just got my first ROE violation. I have only been here a couple of months…

It was a mistake since I didn’t see the opportunity. I’m scared because I am trying to learn, but at the same time there seems to be so many restrictions. Can I advance with that on my record or no?

Make it easy on yourself and deny all deal regs.

@be no need to be so nasty about it! There was no indication of this person’s department. We don’t have ROE violations in my world, and “the opportunity” could have meant anything. Sheesh! Good day to you lol

@a2 are you blind, stupid or both? OP states very clearly what rule has been broken.

Are you saying you give direct pricing to a customer when a partner held deal reg?
Happens all the time.Nobody cares.Explain it was human error and move on.No major issue.

It happens very often: you're new and it's a common mistake. VAR is probably just going to escalate this with their PAM, who'll talk to you (and your manager) saying to make sure it doesn't happen again.
No one else will bother and you will face no consequences.
Probably the partner will be somewhat pi---d off and think you were trying to sc--w them, but it's not a tragedy, just show extra care to them in the future to prove it was a sincere mistake.

@a4 you’re fine. You get a couple of chances before they take action. This is part of learning. Just be very careful in the future.

@a3 I don’t want to go to much details because this thread is supervised….

One of my customers reached out for direct pricing; and I closed on a transaction with them (applied GOAL). I didn’t even see the partner opportunity (it’s negligence on my part). I just got so excited about finally having a good sale after going thru so many dead accts. I went straight into DSA and didn’t even review the CRM acct fully

It does depend on how egregious the violation was, but I know of at least two employees on my team with multiple minor violations that got promoted. That was pre pandemic though.
