You brought up a good point. The ARPE (avg revenue per employee) for Q is one of the worst in the tech/semiconductor industry. This is one metric that points directly to the C-suite. Too many layers. More like Washington Monument than a pyramid.
I always sell my ESPP shares right away to get the instant gratification. Then invest the proceeds in SPMO and QQQ to get delayed gratification. This works so well since the pandemic.

Sell your ESPP & RSU's, and put the money into an index fund.
Fact: Since CA sold half of his Q stocks at $165 in Oct, the stock price went up to $187 in one month before falling down to the current price $140.
Conclusion: He is an expert in delayed gratification.
