I need to stop going on this site. I don't doubt these posts but it just ruins me with fear and anxiety and there is zero we can do if we are already applying elsewhere.

I've had multiple first and seond level managers above me RIFed. I think some get the heads up as they are excluded from RIF'ing their direct reports. My peers were let go by their second line manager so they knew our manager was cut.
