Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Fix your Hiring Process

Message to HR from Philippine . We applied the last week of November, and then we were given a start date of December 4th. My colleagues were able to start, while I was put on hold because they said they'd already met their maximum cap for the account that YOU endorsed me for, and I PASSED everything and SUBMITTED all the requirements right away. Then suddenly, you'll email me saying I'll be a buffer for the next wave with a start date of December 12th, even though I'll have to take a new final interview. I passed again, and now I'm just waiting for you to send the NEO info.

And now that everything's set, including my requirements, you're going to email me again saying I'll be a buffer again for the next start date, which is December 19th. And then another new final interview. You guys are useless. Your offer is already lowball, and then you keep pushing back the start date. I just want to continue because, somehow, your benefits are good compared to other companies. You should fix it. Your recruitment and HR employees take about 2 days to reply to a single email. If you don't like your job, don't waste the time of those who are applying because your lazy and stupid

Message to the Philippines from the US - we should have let Spain keep you.

Get off our page and go find your own. In case you missed the giant red flags, you represent the thievery taking place of OUR US jobs. No sympathy here.

A t-shirt, smile and a promise is all it takes? No wonder they did not patch the server for MFA.

feels like a sci-fi film.

People getting mad at Phillipines taking on jobs are funny. Be mad at your employer, not the people applying for jobs. Just like us, those people need jobs so they can provide and live a life they want.

Be mad at India though. We all should.

This is hilarious. OP, Optum je-ks you around because offshore labor is cheap as he-l and easy to replace. In fact, they’re only hiring in the Philippines BECAUSE you’re cheap labor. If competence actually mattered, they’d hire in the US.

I've seen what you guys do when you get hired, you are in no place to criticize our extremely lazy HR.

Nice to know someone realized HR at this company is stupid and lazy.

What interesting is the amount of time it’s taking them to hire the US replacements. About every 2 weeks. It takes a US employee weeks to months to even here back , yet these hires are every 2 weeks. Kind of coincides with the latest layoff dates

If you search Optum on any social media site it is just a mob of Filipino "nurses" and call center employees talking about how they got their job at optum and showing off their swag. Im talking hundreds if not thousands of people

@a2 agree, it’s only a short term deal till they find someone or something cheaper.

To the OP: What kind of pay range do these guys give in the Philippines? Also what sort of benefits? I guess trying to see how cheap they’re getting you guys for after they scrap a job here in the US and replace it with one overseas.

@OP At least IN-PH isn't the "worst place on earth" Darkest Congo!

Jokes aside, you're only some short term SLT project to outsource USA call center jobs for 1-2 years while the AI patient engagement software is getting up and running. Whatever job you think isn't starting quickly enough will be gone before you know it!
