Its been less than a week since layoffs and im conservatively at 300 job applications submitted and I live with Linkedin like its my mistress. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be able to continue to feed my family. Stay consistent and we will come out just fine. Use your network and dont be shy about letting others know you need a job if yours was taken last week. Wishing you all the best

@e7. I just finished reading that thread... if the info presented is not obvious, then one simple Google search will provide you with everything listed there an much much more. The replies were amusing, though. The OP of that thread obviously has more ego than brains.
There r actually lots of jobs out there. Start applying non stop and aim to do a lateral move and be okay with a pay cut . It’s better than blowing through severance and still not having a job. Apply every day to everything suitable. It’s a numbers game.

If you took the time to actually read and process it t you'd realize those are all very mature insights from the Gent that originally posted it. I guess not everyone is as astute as you in terms of their understanding of employment dynamics. It also points to the fact you don't exhibit an encouraging spirit towards others who can use that right now.

@OP Good luck to you! I started aggressively applying when Dan sent out his email about getting leaner and I actually had two job interviews this week. It really makes me feel optimistic that I may not need to go on unemployment.

Keep the momentum going! I was rif’d at the end of ‘23. Interviewing while still employed and started my new role 3 weeks after my last day at VZ.
Having been in this situation in the past, make sure you set aside time for yourself.
Also, try to apply to positions more aligned to your current skill set as opposed to jobs titles that may be a stretch. Get a referral before applying if you can.
