Employees aren’t supposed to get their devices/plans in store, it’s part of the employee discount that you have to do it online. So they were actually doing you a favor by breaking the rules and serving you.
Walked in and saw the same thing. I went to buy a device for my phone and he charged me full pricing knowing full well I was an employee because he was looking for the sale. Got home and noticed it and went right back and got a manager to fix. He was giving me the side eye. I could have called him out for his behavior but the manager already knew and tried to keep me from saying anything. This is why our customers leave because if he did it to me, imagine how many customers he has managed to sc--w over. All of them on their phones and ignoring customers that walk in. The typical lazy behavior. We see why Dan wants to sell the stores to franchises.
There are definitely a lot of valid points in the video. Nothing most employees don't know, though. Worth a watch by management I'd think.
@a2 to be fair to the employees, non sales activities are no longer in the posted sales reps job description.
Sad but true! So true! As an employee myself I've witnessed what you saw in the 1st clip. Went into a VZ Store. 5 employees on their personal devices (doing nothing) and barely looked up to assist me when I walked into the store. When I asked for assistance they couldn't even help with a simple question. Sad to say, I rarely go into VZ stores but every experience was very similar. If the employees aren't making a commission on the sale...they don't want to help you. And esp. don't want to help you if your a VZ Employee because they know they're not making any money on that sale. VZ advertising extremely misleading (we all know it). Don't flash a $35 promo on the TV saying add a phone for $35 and I get a bill for nearly $120.00..it's EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE!!! Been going on for way to long! And the solution....outsource/franchise a bunch of the stores! Oh, this is going to be a S*&#$ show!
