Any word on layoffs in the linear cable world (MTV, VH1, etc)?

Sad and sorry to hear about CMT, the network had great employees especially at the helm who were solid professionals. Over a year ago, they were showcasing more music shows than MTV.
From what I know, that's literally the last ones standing of CMT. Maybe someone will chime in regarding other networks.
@OP Margaret Comeaux at CMT has been laid off, and will have until the end of year. CMT’s Hot 20 is expected to wrap EOY, with everyone in production laid off.
@a1 "They have not made money in years" is just plain wrong. The cable networks continue to churn out handsome EBIDTA and profit, even if the rate at which those profits roll in is sharply declining.
@a2 and it will be more profitable if they lay off the waste at all levels
Why start a separate post rather that leave a question on the major focused post of the week??? Seriously ask related questions on a main focused post BEFORE starting a new post if you don't get an answer .. the key posts that affect everybody get driven down and lost in the thread if people keep posting by going off on tangents
They will be hit hard.
No layoffs at CBS
@a1 Although clearly overstaffed and a declining biz, cable is actually still one of the major profit centers of the company.
They will get hit hard. They have not made money in years. Of course thats not the employees fault its bad management.
