Hard to stay engaged with so many changes looming.

SD will be out the door by this time next year. OI CEO slot is not a long term parking spot. It is just a spot to get that CEO title so desired then move on.
@b1 Leadership (ELT, Board, etc including "Joe the Plumber" UHG CFO and "Dr DUI" Optum CEO) sees SD as a savior and promoted him. 6-12 months minimum in seat to make life he-l and leave a wake of damage.
Pivots are already underway. Strategy was bad, now it's out the window. No time to think when you're 100X! If/when SD pi---s off enough customers, renewals tank, and new business continues the down trajectory, maybe he's out in less than a year.
Any failures will be "bad regulatory environment (despite 4Xing lobbying staff)" and "pressure on the industry". By then it will be too late, but they'll laugh all the way to the bank when PE funds their golden parachute.
@a6 You actually think SD picked Paul? Give me a break. SD will be gone soon enough.
Being re-orged absolutely su-ks. I wish people understood this more. It makes people want to quit which is their MO.
@a2 OI will be sla-ghtered SD has no confidence. Teams that do OT-similar projects will be cut including 32+. OI will focus on selling on shoestrings, OT will do most of the rest.
Optum AI will likely replace OI AI work. Why have two product/tech teams building solutions - one for UHG, another for commercial?
Once OT can sell their stuff and apply Optum AI capabilities internally, tons of grunts under 28/29 will be automated away. 28-31 will be offshored, and 32+ will be the sweet reward for Indian loyalty regardless of H1-B fees.
After a cull, OT will be well funded. SD picked timid Paul to lead? What a show that was. SD will manage both under a smaller, combined org. Quit now.
If you work really hard though, and survive, the light at the end of the tunnel is there: zero RPP, 0-0.5% raises, 25% hike to monthly premiums.
Does anyone know what departments/dates?
