Thread regarding Ford layoffs

If I get bad review in Mid year how long does it take to get PIP?

Trying to hit 401k vesting date before possible threat of layoff

The PIP process is not required. They can give you your review then fire you on the spot.

You would have been told about PIP at the same time. We prioritize PIP reviews to get them started and the person gone ASAP. If you had a bad review but boss didn’t discuss PIP, you are fine until the next review.

PIP means you are almost fired or You are DONE. It is a nice way to say it. Ford does not offer any improvement programs, they can play with you as if it is something official on HR papers , but the end goal is to get you out ASAP and not to pay you the severance package.

@a2 it’s not a real thread. It’s a subtweet. That is inaccurate in context at that

PIP will come instantly depending on your manager. If one comes, take the severance and leave because the odds are against you unless the 401K vest date falls within the window.

How could anyone other than your manager answer this question?
