@ab some of us are already gone and watching it burn. When the head of trading and shipping gets his way, his team will be on their own with GoM and you'll all be on the side of the road.

Nobody likes coming to the layoff board to talk about our anxieties and share the info that’s otherwise buried. It just shows how bad the situation is right now. I presume you don’t interact with your colleagues on a daily (or even weekly) basis or are some sort of management troll that are disconnected from the reality.
My colleagues from solid teams are looking for the jobs externally now. Obviously management wants to press down some optimism - it’s their job to do so - but today’s outperformances could be short-lived if we were borrowing from the future to pay down our debt today.

people are being realistic. the collapse of bP over the past 20 years has been shocking, with the company shedding 150 billion in market cap while competitors have actually grown. plus, it it ompossible to ignore the accidents, reputationsl harm, id--tic decisions and scandals.

Its a forum about "bp plc layoffs" so focused on depressing topics by default. You are misled to use your time to think otherwise. Maybe you should focus on creating those "kiss-a**" questions to ask LT in townhalls so you can get self-visibility.
