I know personally I’m praying on some peoples’ downfalls 🙏 people on my team are already exchanging bets on the lazy bones who need cutting
Yet here you are having to say your peace....
So who thinks Ford wouldn't report 60 days in advance a planned 8000+ layoffs to the WARN system? You people need to get a grip.
It will be absolute carnage. Enjoy your last month or two at this company folks. Especially those who were working on FNV4!
Does ford even have 8k salary employees?
No, I'd say that those who have been irresponsible with their money and have mortgages will be in trouble. If you haven't been either paying ahead, saving money, ect then I guess you are sc--wed. Good luck submitting to your employer's every wish because you can't afford to give a middle finger when they lie to you or bait and switch you. They need you in debt because it gives them leverage. Buy that new car, it's just another reason you have to depend on them.
Which is why you are a robot with no independent thought. About as vanilla as they come. Good luck to you buddy.
I work in Model e and did not receive such an email.
BS. Not that many people working on FNV4. So much dead wood. Needs cutting.
Laying off this many would be catastrophic which is why it’s not happening. A few thousand over years, yes that is logical. A swift cut of several thousand would imply cutting major programs, losing tech workers, key business teams. Ford is struggling with quality and a lot has to do with cutting. AI is years away from replacing low level work or never going to replace anyone frankly (overhyped). So where are these numbers coming from? Some broad who “researched” companies that are not even in the same industry, or wants you to follow her for amazing stock choices? Maybe she has an only fans?
Had this person estimated 1200 or so, then I would be inclined to say this makes sense.
I will not put any thought into such rumors until I hear from leadership in a Town Hall cascade or otherwise.
Anything else is unsubstantiated rumor with no credibility.
@a5 whoa this guy seems mad! Probably the stress of getting laid off hitting him hard
We've already covered this. Did you have another point to make? Why are you posting $hit over and over again?
Get your resumes ready!!
Those with mortgages are in DEEP trouble.
It takes time to prepare to layoff this many.
It will be done in phases starting this week with Product folks.
