Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Chaos amongst us

The new RTO standards have employees running around like headless chickens abused, confused, and wondering what the he-l is going on. One minute, remote work is the future; the next, it’s supposedly ki-ling company culture, so everyone’s forced back into the office with no real plan. Leadership hasn’t mapped out available space, policies keep changing, and managers are just as clueless as everyone else. People are juggling commutes, childcare, and the sudden shock of office life, all while asking themselves: Does leadership even know what they’re doing?

The only robots I see are the ones driving in 5 days a week leaving them with little choice but to endure toxic workplaces and unfulfilling careers. Instead of pursuing growth or passion, they stay on autopilot just like another cog in the machine.

For me the best part is the looks on managers faces makes it obvious that they don't want to be in the office either.

I haven’t seen anyone Dir level and up walk the floor. You would think as “leaders” they would.

We have senior director in our building running around doing the work of the administrative assistant he laid off.
He’s trying to find desks for everyone

They don't know what they are doing ...the latest snafu is they made everyone in the company go through AI training, only to disable the internal AI with no answers. They've let go so many people across the board that processes now take months to complete. The ones who are left standing will probably see their jobs cut as soon as they work to automate their space.

I think we all know that tell Dell is as meaningful to management as the People’s Choice Awards are to culture.
That being said I hope I’m around to see if there is a precipitous drop in:

I have confidence in management (all levels)
Dells best days are ahead.
