Ansys was a great company to work for. I didn't get that same impression from Synopsys, but I guess that comes with working for a much larger company.
It was a good 5 years.

How were you informed you were layer-off?
By e-mail or a letter or verbally as you showed up for work?
Asking as I notice a terrible communication style since being acquired
@be Nope, the CEO and the board executives are the ones who does the cost cutting. Not the lower ones.
SNPS was decent to work for until sh-----d Sassine took over. He’s been butchering the company (and the stock) ever since.
Is FBU also getting impacted?
@b8 most of his bottoms are. The CEO is irrelevant in these publicly traded companies.
@aj Ghazi is not Indian
@ah I mean.. once you start seeing Indians in upper management, take the hint..it is all downhill from there.
@OP As a Synopsys employee laid off today, I can say that Synopsys was a great company to work for until about year ago. There have been leadership changes top to bottom over the past couple years and the great culture we once had was no more.
Sorry to hear that. Is the severance package generally good for you?
Likewise, things got progressively worse with the acquisition.
@a1 Ansys DME. And all good!
I'm sorry for being insensitive and jumping directly to my question. I'm sorry that you were let go and I genuinely hope you find your next big opportunity very soon.
Which BU were you a part of and region ?
