Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Plans after layoffs?

Assuming you get laid off this time, what plans do you guys have for future?
I don't see any entry level tech jobs available. All the roles that are available are for 10+ years experience. And if 10+ years experienced person is willing to take a pay cut to stay employed, why would anyone hire someone with 2 years experience? Joining Intel seems like the worst decision i have taken in my life. No peace of mind since i joined and no future I can see for myself now. And now I can't find work elsewere, I don't want to work anymore in this company, even if they let me stay. Just working for the money.

@fx why would you want the people you’ll be competing against for said jobs to know of relevant openings?

@OP We should start a job postings thread. A lot of people are going to need jobs. Where are you finding openings for even 10+ years' experience?

@ej what are you smoking? Intel is never regaining market leadership…. NEVER. Get that through your skull. That ship has sailed.

I want everyone to just enjoy time off with family once we right this ship. Oh, and spot bonuses all the way around once we secure market leadership again

You need to fight back by spying on coworkers to see who os actually doing the work and snitch on any slackers. You'll be surprised who is scamming you and taking advantage of you. It may even be your team lead. You have to fight hard under Capitalism for basic justice.

@a4 If you are an Intel employee and have not thought about this, maybe its time you do. There are no hypotheticals here. Just reality.

Looks like the Question Troll has been working up a new set of pointless, multilayered, hypotheticals for everyone to ponder.

You’re young, you’ll bounce back, even if it takes time. But I bet you’ll be so glad when you get that new job and look back at how garbage the time at Intel was. You’re in a much better situation than the folks who are 50-60+
