No. you seem to think MD has no moral/financial duty to increase value to both shareholders and employees alike just because he's a majority stakeholder.

He can be sued by shareholders. Institutions can dump the stock.
Even worse is lose institutional confidence. Trust me, that clown [majority holder or not] will sing and dance for a penny.

No, majority shareholder means he controls who is on the board of directors - therefore he picks his own bosses. He has to abide by FTC rules and the rules of the state where it’s Incorporated. True, he can be sued by other shareholders if he acts irresponsibly but it’s hard to prove.

@a1

that's not true. it is a public company so he is beholden to owners/shareholders.
Besides, he talks like he's some sort of visionary or captain of industry.

If MD was just "hey, i am don't really know much about AI; i am pretty much irrelevant and i am just here pumping and grifting to mostly line my pockets" then okay.

There’s a big difference. MD founded and is still majority stockholder of this company.
If he wants to destroy it to milk every nickel he can, that’s his prerogative.

The Boeing CEO is a hired hand.
