@bq not Carmen. Management.. most carman don’t like piecing sh-t together. The ability to fix things with pride has been taken.

Now we are worried about the UCI indicators? Carman are notoriously known for piecing railcar equipment together to get it to the next point. It rolls in it can roll out is what they call it. Brother in law works in Fort Worth, said they are laying off 8 in Alliance, 6 in Northtown, 4 in Barstow and 10 in Pasco as far as maintenance goes. Also they’ve been having a lot of oversight on social media with the work place shenanigans that have been posted so that may play apart.

Railroads have been using EOC/COC units for 40 plus years but now we need a waiver for the UCI indicators?
Next thing they’ll say is that all the fluid sprayed on the under frame is normal “weepage” or clearly formed droplets do not constitute a defect.
Just admit it - changing cushioning devices slows rip tracks down on production, back shops are plugged from the never ending stream of home shops, and the manufacturer can’t make enough to keep up with demand.

I’m calling the FRA on this to verify. Have a buddy that knows what’s going on usually. What location are you at?
