That's a huge stretch and you know it.
The automotive industry has a very different market, a very different product mix and different challenges as I mentioned. These challenges lead to different types of marketing adjustments, product changes, and staff reductions.
Saying, "OMG IBM is laying off, GM is next" is d-mb on so many levels.
If you want to live in fear based on d-mb stretches of the imagination, go for it.
But don't expect the rest of us to play along.

IBM offers completely different services and products than GM in a completely different industry. There's no correlation whatsoever.
