Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

""A cr-p sandwich is still a cr-p sandwich."

The company was built on the individual / group passions. Most of you know that.
T-Mobile's importance of virtuous leadership ideas is being repackaged and sold under the belief that you matter but only feeds one true narrative……profit and control.
The concept of toxic leadership has been brought up many times over the past several years. The pandemic of 2020 gave birth to so many poor leadership behaviors and, as companies still struggle, it only gets worse.

Being very honest. Leave the company or keep going on with all these cathartic posts.

@b0+1jk12k0z2, interesting point of view. For those that remember the “Pin Drop” commercials, from back in the day, the sentiment might be a little different.[1] Remember, Sprint has a storied American past, dating back to the late 1800’s. We all know when things started going sideways for them, but it appears that the employees endured. In my opinion, for the T-Mobile folks, it has been easier, with always having a “Parent” to assist. Not sure if the “European” culture helps, IMVHO!

The bottom line, in my very humble opinion, the Sprint folks seem a little more resilient to change! The “TheLayoff” website may provide some proof. As per the main page, ”TheLayoff.com is live since January 31, 2009!” The Sprint archive only has six pages, with the first post on February 24, 2014.[2] The T-Mobile archive has 37 pages, with the first post on August 3, 2015.[3] Each archive page has 40 threads, except the first and last pages, as new threads are added. Don’t get me started on the posts per thread.

Just for fun, AT&T is currently at 436 archive pages…and they delete a lot of posts/threads, especially during collective bargaining season.[4]

This was always going to be the case as soon as the decision was made to become a publicly traded company. I’m not sure why so many people are surprised.

Whaah! The bad man/woman/Alphabet mafia member never told me there was work involved or that it would be at a business that has to make money to continue! Be very honest with yourself; feelings and idealism are not the primary concern of any business thats going to be an ongoing concern. You can fill your stomach with hopes and dreams.
