Latest news is that new CEO RR is being sued by VMware for conflict of interest. May be they should add to that lawsuit all those questionable acquisitions he made while he was a COO there !.

Nutanix announced RR as new CEO. This means new wave of cronyism will start in Nutanix. As a COO of VMware he was key to very questionable acquisitions. Many of the the acquired companies started by Indian founders with very questionable and inflated business value. Most of those companies have so called "product" that is put together by collecting bunch of open source software and a user interface. One such company he acquired in VMware was Velocloud for 500 million when in reality that company was about to go bankrupt. The inside story is that his buddy is VC who is a lead VC for Velocloud. Both of them are from Chennai, India. Rajiv goes to play tennis at this VC's house and they both made a deal. You can guess what will happen at Nutanix in near future. I wonder why these people do not get investigated by SEC.

@Ydkp+151oJTIx,
Totally agree with you. I know NetScalar history.
These folks are from IIT India and they form a very close mafia.

Cronyism is alive and well at Cohesity. Cohesity hired a new COO from Veritas, and now the founding mid-management and leadership are being methodically replaced by his former Veritas ranks. Lots of new yes people and a growing toxic culture.

When I read Nutanix gave CTO position to guy named Rajiv Mirani, I couldn't stop laughing.
This guy a CTO? . His claim to fame was that he founded an application firewall company named Teros along with his buddies and sold it to Citrix. The product never worked properly and there was no demand for it. However Citrix bought it and it was spending several million dollars each year on fixing the product. Finally, instead of accepting that the Teros product was hogwash, and Citrix should never have bought it, the Citrix management (guess what? using another Indian executive in Citrix named Rajiv Sinha) absorbed the entire Teros team in to one of the most popular Citrix product called as Netscaler. So, instead of getting fired for selling the company with product that never worked, the entire Teros team got nice secure jobs for several more years in Citrix and vested their stock options. In desperation, Citrix tried to give the Teros product free with Citrix Netscalar but even then customers refused to use that. This didn't stop Rajiv and company from getting promoted each year in Citrix. Then Citrix bought Xen virtualization software and Teros people like Rajiv Mirani started marketing themselves as virtualization experts when in reality Citrix Netscaler had no contribution to original Xen virtualization platform.
This is how Indians have screwed up entire hi-tech work place in Silicon Valley - lies, deceitful behavior and cronyism.

Common denominator in both Nutanix an Cohesity is Indian Founders and H1B's.

Cohesity is no dream boat. Inside the company it is chaos and they were the first with mass layoffs even with a new funding round.
