Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

EEOC investigation yet again

Good chance they will get smacked again like 2000. They just don't seem to learn that you can't treat employees like cr-p.

GulfStream has been treating employees like cr-p for more than 30 years. There’s nothing new there. The only difference is people have more opportunities to leave and that’s what most are choosing to do.

Gulfstream, like most of aerospace companies managed from the mindset that there were a of skilled workers to hire from and that people were easily replaceable.

The changing workfirce dynamics with the shortage of skilled mechanics, etc. Caught gulfstream unprepared. Given Gulfstream reputation as an employer I don’t see things changing anytime soon.

Workers will continue to leave and the company will continue to struggle to find people to replace some. All of that a direct result of the way they treat their employees.

Completions usually gets less experienced and less motivated engineers due to not being critical aircraft structure. The shop has a Lot of ideas to improve designs and standards but no one wants to spend time revising the engineering. Not to mention most of the senior engineers have retired or transfer to other departments.

Glint Survey? What a joke, if you think people answer that truthfully your drinking from the cool aid tap. Gotta ask yourself what so many of your coworkers left over the past 24 months… because they love their job and the wonderful culture?

Completions is absolute he-l. Management I thought I liked actually kisses a-s and licks boots to affirm the upper leadership decisions they themselves know are unpopular. No one wants to grow a spine to assert their dominance and tell leadership how they're going to run things. I wish nothing but misery and despair for this organization.

Who is getting treated like cr-p?
Glint survey 2022 was positive in Completions, the toughest place to work at GAC with customer swaps, schedule changes, faster pace and deliveries rising each year.
🤷🤷‍♂️🤷
