Thread regarding Bass Pro Shops layoffs

Price increases and hours cut.

Anyone else a little worried that RedHead/Cabelas products are getting huge price increases and hours being cut earlier than usual? I’ve seen some items have $50 price increases.

This is the truth bass pro is a very profitable company and they are expanding in several areas this very minute. Bass pro is opening up a huge store in California and I drive out to my local bass pro shop and I will see probably close to 40 new boats on the lot. The future look bright for bass pro today Now lets look at Sidney Nebraska i drive thru the lot at corporate which once had probably had 1500 cars. now you may have 12 cars. I remember the directors sending out a message to everyone leave the merger agreement with bass pro up to them everyone will be treated fairly . Lets look how everyone was treated what jim cablea walked away with a billion dollars and millner what 10 or 20 million. It made national news. those are the facts.

this sounds so much like the cabela hater who the cabelas layoff site which they pretended to be other chatters for years. I really wonder if the cabela hater has taken over this site now. I mean look at what is done every post put down a huge major company which employees thousands and thousands of people. it is the life line of many companies. i am almost sure this site is the same cabela hater and now has turned into the bass pro hater now. by question was i assume cabelas hater were fired by cabelas weren't you

@Seuu, this is not a FB where everyone is signed in with their names and credentials, it's an anon forum board for a reason, personally identifiable info is not allowed and if posted usually gets deleted.

Someone has nicely summed up the website’s ToS while back, here is a copy-paste:
————————————-
Posting one of these things can trigger a review, delete or block :

  • over excessive use of foul language
  • personal insults and derogatory language (towards groups or individuals)
  • use of names or personal identifiers (except for naming already public figures)
  • bullying, trolling and spamming
  • direct advertising
  • asking for votes of any kind (political, union, stock votes)
  • off-topics like discussing politics and religion

Site mods usually just delete the post in violation or a whole thread, but sometimes they put you on blacklist/block you from posting any further (can be skipped by using VPN).

I am waiting for the macon ga store to close the doors as we have no workers and people steal them blind, it looks like mangers dont care about anyone but there selfs, and the pay they get which to me the store manager does not need nothing but to go back where he came from

I was an employee in Sidney which was laid off. I am thankful to bass pro for the Servance paid I got. In regard to Cabelas i like everyone else see the directors as rCabelas basically as thief's which they stole from the company and the employees and basically destroyed the town of Sidney for their own selfish interests, someone have suggested to try and reward the employees at the Sidney Distribution center with just somewhat a respectful severance which is somewhat in line with other segments of Cabelas and asked JIm Cabela if he would be willing to do this since Di-k often said the Distribution center was the main Jfactor for the success of the company. I think Jim Cabela may do it but i have been told jim cabela would never lift a finger to help anyone. I think he might just help out a little.

Hard to change those prices on the sales floor when nobody is schedule to work. Surprised they haven’t had layoffs so they can get automatic check outs
