Thread regarding Adidas layoffs

Promotions halted in digital tech

Despite having a great year as per BG, and multiple people moving from VP to SVP, there's apparently no money for any promotions left in digital tech.

It seems like they really want people to quit and unlike business side, they are not interested in offering voluntary payouts as well

And of course you're thinking about yourself as a great talent @Qdpz+1vh35tDk

@Nmif+1vh35tDk If you just did coasting at work without upskilling you cannot find a job. I know a couple of great talent easily secured new jobs. There is not low demand for great talent, they are always wanted.

"Just because market appears to be down and other organizations are laying off ..."

My brothers and sisters, that is literally the law of market supply and demand... YES just because demand is lower and supply is higher you have a lower negotiation point...

and what is even "disparity in growth culture"? Tech was always paid higher than average?

I mean, Seriously guys? Some fellow is posting a concern here and all you are suggesting him/her is to go somewhere else? Way to go with a culture of openness and freedom of expression.
Just because market appears to be down and other organizations are laying off doesn’t justify a disparity in growth culture in ones’s organization. The two are separate topics and shouldn’t be mixed. Its like advising people to leave the country if they have issues with the way government is running. Cmon. Grow up.

Do you realize most FAANG talent and top tier tech have been hemorrhaging talent who are so desperate for work they are now willing to work more for less?

Put your feelers out there and then come back with some offers, may help you have a little leverage and insight into what the market says worth.

We’ve literally been in the red, be thankful Adi made it through this without massive layoffs like our competitors , who have quadruple the cashflow and still gutted 12% of their HQ this last year.

Bro just a little entitled in this post. Read the balance sheet, and maybe take a class on investing for the long term.

So quit. No one owes you anything and if you’ve checked the market lately you know it’s FLOODED with over qualified talent chomping at the bit. A good year from negative profit margins doesn’t mean everyone gets a prize and the job market isn’t exactly in your favor.

Learn how play for the long game.
