Brian needs to cut HR, they're a bloated department full of slaves to management. If a TM has a legitimate complaint against a manager, even with physical written proofs, they forget the manager and find something to write up the TM about instead. Silly BS. Slaves mentality. HRs are a necessary evils department like the police that shoots African American men without repercussions. God's watching you HR and the racist-law "abusers.."...there are always consequences for abuses of powers without responsibilities and accountability...God's Revolutions for changes for the common people!..Time of reckons always come to all Evil beings, God sees you all, go ahead and hide all you want, God and his righteous armies will hunt Evil Things/People that go bump in the night and cast you into the darkest of Hell, repent now HR servants and racist laws-enforcement abusers, help people, love people and all God's creatures, do your jobs fairly, stops being slaves to management and the status quo, be part of God's army of Lights and Goodness, repent your sins HR now or it'll be too late and may God forgive you for your trepasses against the hardworking TMs. The meek shall inherit the Earth! Judgment's Day fast approaching upon us! Let us Pray brothers and sisters. Amen.

You guys are crazy, HR will have an impact and some other pockets but the big stuff is done. Yes it will be tighter down the road but we all know HQ got bloated and had too many layers. No more big layoffs like we saw this week.

thank you for the information you share here . Believe me it is appreciated by those of us who work at target and visit this site.. everyone is being real tight lipped In part I believe due to a lot of middle management being as in the dark as the people they supervise ... thanks again and good luck to everyone ...

Thanks for all the updates on the April cut. How will any of this affect contracted employees? Without a severance package at layoff its a risky seat to be in.

Do we know how many will be impacted still under HR? There are many subsets to be evaluated and considered...Compensation? Benefits? Strategy & Process? Employee & Labor Relations? Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development were already impacted significantly...

This will include Human Resources (who required full staff for the previous layoffs but now will be impacted), TTS (allowing the new CIO to weigh in, as he has not started yet), Merch (additional clean ups) and Target India.

I've heard tenure and review scores however, review scores should be considered last because, everyone knows when you promote upward into a new pyramid, you rarely get anything above an effective that first year.

Dear Anonymous80591: I didn't mean to be condescending. I am sorry. Lots of people on this site want specific names. I can't provide that. All I know is that 1,000 more people to be laid off by April 7th. Admins to be hit hard, followed by Merch, followed by BLR. That is the order of reductions. That is all I know.

It's not that difficult to be direct and state facts without being so arrogant and condescending.

BLR = Bangalore India. Target has an office in that city. You may also see references to TI, which is Target India. They have not experienced mass layoffs yet, but they most certainly will. The anxiety ridden posts you see regarding TI or BLR are from desperate people employed in that location who want to know whme the axe will fall. Considering the circumstances, that's certainly understandable.

I have posted my last post until April 6th. Nearly 1,000 will be laid off on April 7th. Take care and good luck.

Dear Anonymous80574: Of course some admins helped. Good grief. Are you looking for a blanket statement that XXX people are gone? and the admins were hiding under their desks? In some cases that did happen. But to make a general statement like yours is poor.

Dear Anonymous80573. Those people will be cut next week in BLR. Target HQ wanted the dust to settle laying off international workers.

Ummm actually some admins did help. One of my admin friends actually assisted me. Not all admins are alike. Quit generalizing and stereotyping them.

Dear Anonymous80561, Anonymous80559 and Anonymous80558: Look...I am just stating facts. Target laid off 1,700 people on Tuesday. Where were the admins? Did they help carry boxes? Nope. I am just saying that those PG19 and above that need an admin are gone. The director and the admin are gone.

Admins are a lot more valuable than just reports. They are project managers that do not need to be paid 6 figures to do the job

You my friend are the one who should be eliminated. If you talk to people at the office the way that you do here, I'm surprised you're still around.

Anonymous80546: So why would that surprise you? Can you not schedule your own meeting? Can you not generate your own report? Can you not take care of your own correspondence? Please supply your PeopleSoft employee number now. Because the first round of layoffs should have eliminated you.

There are only about 300 in Mpls so that number cannot be right unless it its the entire admin population.

Do you by any chance have a total number for the next round?

At least 400 Admins, about 200 in Merch, balance in Blr.
