AI cannot be effectively be implemented at Citi due to the lack of consolidated data aggregation. With the proliferation of so many systems acquired during the acquisition days under Weill, you effectively have around 5,000 systems with huge disparity in both code base and tech stack. As a consequence - it is virtually impossible to create data lakes needed to feed LLMs with meaningful data. Enjoy your spaghetti code.
@OP+1vxCM4KU It is an industry wide trend. So look which job fields are being eliminated, but also look for opportunities. There is an increased demand on workers knowing KI, in all areas. Recent EUAI act demands that institutions running AI, providing AI tools (Chatbots) have to have skilled AI staff as of Feb 2025.
I don't think CHatgtp is an approved software at Citi.
I am interested in knowing as well.
