Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Have layoff notices been issued at Boeing sites in Texas? Boeing has several sites down there

Boeing has contracts with NASA in Houston. After the Starliner - one of the most utterly disordered and mismanaged Boeing situations in recent times you would think Boeing has the smarts to issue layoff notices to the entire Program there.

Boeing also has a large site in San Antinio. Boeing workers are probably pretty busy there so not likely to be as risk of layoffs unless they are severely overbudget and behind in work.

Boeing has a big office they lease north of Dallas in Plano and a smaller site east of there in the adjacent city. The Plano site looks like a total waste of money Boeing is spending. Boeings probably locked into a long-term expensive lease on that office building they have their name on. The leased Boeing building looks like it's out of place there. The building with Boeing's name on it is an anchor building to several upscale name brand stores and popular eateries on both sides of the street which is within easily walking distance from the Boeing office.

Boeing needs to issue layoff notices at the Richardson site and close it down permanently. No value-added work done there.

I believe Ortberg is considering selling certain of the company's space assets: ULA in Colorado and Starliner/Space Station In Texas. Would he lay off people on these programs before selling them?

No one cares as long as the machinists in Seattle are safe.

The site @OP+1vB61dKg is referring to probably the site in Richardson. You could drive by and barely notice it. It's a warehouse office combination.

I agree the Plano site is an absolute joke. What the heck is Boeing even doing there.

The Boeing place in Plano at Legacy West is a joke, it's in a pretentious high end shopping mall filled with shops and restaurants for people who think they are the wealthy elite. Then down by DFW airport was that that other site, that used to be called Aviall, it was a total dysfunctional cluster F that should be out of business.
