@OP. I have done it before, and I would do it again. Of course, depending of salary/benefits, longevity of the position, and how much it would help me to land the next job.
As you can see, currently Ford does not qualify for it in my book: too much instability. I have been hearing the word "layoff" around me too many times in the last 6-7 years at Ford.
I'd recommend to anyone willing to relocate, to always start with temporary arrangements. Not only to ensure is the right company, job and location for them, but to save some money to help with the relocation (moving could be expensive).
