SVPs

I am a MD. Why can’t some SVPs give up their employees gracefully for Ds and MDs to manage? SVPs are not that senior to manage people and should focus on being a hardworking individual contributor. They will have their chance when they become Ds and MDs in the future

For all the a$$h0!3 MD’s and D’s. You are just sitting and talking in ppt’s. You don’t know anything about business and technology. All the business you know was a minimal set of what you guys implemented 15 years ago. If there is a separate business team what is the need for you ? You are outdated technologist

Why can not managers be manager and I C be workers as identified in org chart? If firm need those to manage, why demote them? If you made them I C , why rely them to get things done for you. Is this mean remained managers are not capable to do the job? If so, get rid of the new boss, brought back the old one! Business is becoming a show? Org chart to show outsiders and different system as no change insider?

I personally think a lot of the pushback is related to many MD & D's expecting the SVP's to still do the same role without the title. If you want them to be an IC that's all they should do.

SVP can not work as IC means they have big ego in their mind! Your job never involved people management and you have never been a real manager but took management pay! You think you were managing workers to work but they would work without you anyway! All professional environment why need one to one to watch a hard working worker to make sure he/ she works! Such a joke CITi’s one manager one enployee system in the past and another joke demoted managers not really demoted from micro managing!

Young people heard of AI but old people know where can use AU in Citi! A good business need super talent who can improve regardless age! You are one of those kids who believe computer code can do anything. Hi you do not even know where to apply the code! Illusion generation will not work!!!!

Just lay them off. Many are poor managers anyway and hinder the careers of their directs. There are several Ds and MDs who are pompous and incapable of effective leadership. Let's get rid of all of them. I'll send Jane a list for phase 5.

The startegy is simple, first make IC and reduce dependency and make isolate with no work and after 3 quarter resulats release all IC in one go.
