Did someone purposely submit wrong numbers?

I've worked at State Street for 25+ years. If I can pass along any advice to young workers seeking employment here or are already employed here, it's this: Your salary, unless you are part of sales or portfolio management, will not keep pace with inflation. Period. You will go years with ZERO raise. 1% is the norm. Employees being hired now, with less experience, will be paid more than you. Executive Management does NOT care. Your direct manager will care but will have no say or control over your raise or bonus. Those numbers are determined many levels above. No one is looking out for you except YOU. To advance your salary, you need to leave after a couple of years, else seek internal mobility (with another team). A promotion does not automatically mean a raise. It often does not. Glassdoor salary information tells you nothing.

Never go by any salary ranges on the various job sites.
I find they are usually 25% to 30% higher than the actual salary.
Are the salaries listed, Starting range, Mid range or Max salary range.
Second salaries vary by States in the U.S
Third salaries vary by the years of experience and educational background
The salary is usually a range, and as far as I know is not too far from the real thing (give or take +/-5% or 10%). That said, the range brings the question of transparency.
The salary numbers listed are in Rupees, not Dollars.
