All I can think about is whether I'll still have my job once the layoffs are done. I couldn't care less about bonuses or raises right now. I'm not saying it's irrelevant, it's just not something I can focus on when I don't even know if I'll have a source of income soon enough. If you can worry about a bonus amid all of this, you're definitely handling this better than I am.

Severance package would be way more money than any bonus I'd hope to get - BUT - knowing this company, it's quite possible we would get both. So sure, take the money and run!
If you are getting layed off why would you get a bonus?
If we get laid off, no guarantee we'll get any bonus communicated this week any way, I wouldn't put it past Citi unfortunately. (Last day to communicate bonus is next Monday, fyi).
We might get layed off next week. Will be good to know how much bonus we will get to know how long we can stay out of work before needing a new job to cover bills.
@OP+1qBSfC7M - why not?
Is Jane, Mark Mason and other senior executives are not taking bonuses?
Because I'm owed my bonus you dope
Citi is not known for their bonuses and or annual pay increases. Be thankful if you still have a job after the roller coaster ride ends in March. A few SL have goals to outsource 70% of work by the end of 2025 so thats why Jane says it will be over by 2026
because everyones fighting for scraps in todays world and if im not fired then you bet im going after every dollar i can get. a bag of ice at the store is 6$ ....
I think it helps people with planning with savings and when to make a move if they decide to do so. I am sure others are concerned if they have a job too. It is another source of income like another poster stated.
Well, bonuses are a source of income too.
