Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

Targeted layoff in the USA

There will be targeted layoffs /right sizing starting in about 10 days.
Anyone has clues which areas or teams will be affected?

If you can’t produce truly new innovative hardware (a core competency) why not invest into anything but?
Wait… if you can’t get even simple hardware or software done, why would you succeed at a more complicated endeavor? That’s weird logic but hey bonuses depends on faking it until you make it (well quit before you make it and exercise your options) !
Amazing company, I can hide into so many projects through so many CYA layers… 😍

The company is doing great. Stock buy backs and investing in Norwegian garbage. What could go wrong?

Fairly vanilla earnings call

All about labor cost management until economy picks up

This company very obviously doesn't have a future saddled by debts as it is ...not to mention the outdated tech and zero level of competency at all levels. What is the point of predicting layoffs at this point...this is zero sum game, get out while you can or simply be prepared for a 'death by a thousand cuts' if you last that long

Fire some fellow… that should save the company 500k per year.
3 means 1.5 mill.

@OP+1pd9uDS7,
It seems you might have information from an "official" source.

I recently heard that REZI would like to layoff to reduce cost and increase shareholder value, but does not know how to fund severance package.

So this could rather go to chapter 11 instead of yet another layoff round to please investor.

No layoff. The people that will be gone will retire after collecting fat paychecks.
They have insane pensions and on top milk resideo. Melville is the place where robbing the company is a badge of honor!

Will security be hit? Firmware? What about software? R&D? As much as specific as possible please!
Sometimes when plans are exposed they get stopped.

It’s time to shut down Melville, a huge waste of money going towards minimal output. Move that budget overseas where salaries are half and production is double

Please do not worry, no directors and above will be impacted themselves by those rounds 23-24

I guess we will find out soon… but most are done in secret you show up and hours later you’re gone …people are scared so nobody talks. Another symptom of a sick corporation

As there is no New product released, (and this might not change), why not stopping it to save cost and compete in a price war market?

It is primarily ancillary roles such as customer satisfaction, finance, and some marketing roles but other areas will be heavily impacted as well and yes ny will be devastate. Packages for those impacted will also not be a good as those we have seen recently. Company is hemorrhaging money and can no longer hide it.
