!!! Reminder to allm up employees - "Quiet Quitting" !!!

Quiet quitting doesn't actually refer to quitting one's job—it means completing one's minimum work requirements without going above and beyond, bringing work home, or overachieving.

Let the shareholders fix the cars and locomotives. Let the shareholders run the trains. Let the shareholders clean up the derailments. Let the shareholders fix the rails. Let the shareholders switch out the cars. Let the shareholders build the trains. Let's make the shareholders feel our pain and most importantly, we need to let them know what it feels like to have to earn a paycheck. The executives and the shareholders are doing nothing more than gambling with our livelihoods. All OF US MEN AND WOMEN ARE THE ONES THAT MAKE UP AND RUN THIS INDUSTRY! When are we going to stand up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?!

Why do anything? The leprechaun already has his choices made of where he's cutting regardless of one's performance. Some people say quiet quitting, I say what about quiet striking? It'll be hard for the stock price to go up when very little gets accomplished at the RR. Let's tank the metrics and either force him out, or watch him throw a temper tantrum because he didn't get his way. We're all screwed anyways, but I'm just thinking of ways to make it more fun to watch.

I've been quiet quitting since RULA. The only thing you get for doing a job well is more work. Act your wage. If they want you to do the job of 2 people then they should pay you for it.

This is the perfect time for this to happen. If not sure what the job intel’s, then get the LMI and follow it verbatim. Don’t do each other’s work , no matter how small it may be. Take your time and most of all be safe because little guy wants to be known as the safest railroad. They want to cut, fine less people less production.

Couldn’t agree more with @OP and all of these replies. Not one bit of extra effort above the minimum.

When I was young, innocent, and idealistic I used to get aggravated by the old timers who worked like this. I understand it now, management at UP is so bad and greedy that hard work only gets you MORE hard work. Its not the unions fault, its not any of the employees fault, it is the greedy selfish policy makers at UP’s fault. No one should work more than 8hrs a day 5 days a week. If upper management gets mad bcuz workers are waiting on trains to clear before they can get to work, then run a scheduled railroad or shut your mouth about people being paid to hurry up and wait.
