Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Not offered voluntary package, good sign?

Have groups or individuals been getting emails or calls with offers? I haven't received any communication asking for volunteers or offering a package. Is that a sign I'm not on a list and relatively safe (yes, I know there is no absolute safety)?

To be offered a voluntary package you need a score of 80 or higher. The score is age + yrs at Q. Sounds like she discrimination to me. Is that legal?

Packages weren’t offered to every department - only Marketing and HR. Involuntary layoffs still on the table for all other groups.

If your knee pads are worn out - you are safe! You got to put in that work!

@OP, that only means that you are not eligible for the package. It can potentially be that you are next on the chopping block.

Depends on what level you are at right? If you are Principal or below, you aren’t going to be asked before you are fired.
