There were layoffs this week on Dell IT.
@OP What rock have you been living under for the past 4 years?
Just want to point out that WARN was never really a thing. They get around it by paying you severance, part of the layoff contract is that you are accepting the payment in lieu of two months warning.
You could of course refuse the payment and sue them…for two months pay lol.
OP - Where have you been? They’ve been laying off for years but controlling the numbers so they don’t have notify the state in advance. It’s all part of the plan; lay offs, push retirement; make life miserable so people leave.
Whomever MD plans on selling to, or merging with is going to get a shell of a company with a few patents and brand names that have lost their cache.
Dell have been drip feeding layoffs in Ireland for years now! Never large enough numbers to warrant notification to the govt. There is still raw nerves in Ireland from when Dell slashed 000's of jobs in Limerick
