I got laid off in November. I genuinely thought as a senior manager I couldn’t find another job that pays a base salary that’s 190k unless I get super lucky at a tech company. But in sooooooo shocked and beyond greatful to God after 7 months of constant applications and rejections I landed a role that far surpassed my expectations both in comp and privilege. Don’t give up hope to those of you still looking. It’s so demoralizing - I know. So glad it all worked out.

$190k for a Senior Manager is not out of the ordinary. I was an AD and I made in the upper $230s.

Uhh, I was a principal making 170 base, so manager at 190 doesn't seem sus at all. I landed at Nvidia so I'm pretty happy with how things turned out.
lol I am a senior director. OP for sure isn’t lying. There’s a selection bias here. The people who are saying 190k is impossible weren’t getting paid that. Those who were essentially were let go of hence OP laid off. I’ve seen baskin ridge strategy and operations groups senior managers pulling in 180-195k. And these were managers before the title refreshes

So many of you think that OP wasn’t making 190 K just tells me you guys are getting low ba--s or we’re not in good standing. I don’t think you guys understand what those bands pay. It’s literally public information. You just weren’t in a high cost of living area
