It felt more like Pioneer took over Exxon Mobil
Pioneer was an excellent place to work, and EM the EXACT opposite. Glad to see my people freed!
PioneerMobil
People keep saying Pioneer is going to leav- but Pioneer didn’t get absorbed by ExxonMobil — Pioneer practically took over half the seats at the table. Most of the leadership influence, operational direction, and perks seem to be coming from the Pioneer side. This doesn’t feel like Exxon changing Pioneer… it feels a lot more like Pioneer reshaping Exxon.”
Who can blame them…
@OP just know that XOM planned for 40-50% of the Pioneer employees not staying with XOM, and were surprised so many stayed initially. I’m not sure who pays as well as Pioneer so I’m not sure where they can go unless they take a pay cut.
Watch for the spike in safety performance
Wait for couple of months- more will leave after performance assessment results will come out
I doubt you see safety go. They found a model that no one can touch. We will see how this PDS works out.
Don't you be concerned at all, all the downstream high flyers are waiting to take upstream jobs - that's what DWW model for D&S is - move sinking downstream business people to upstream and then take the business in a ditch...
Stay long enough to get paid... Cash out and get another oil job in midland with less BS. Wouldnt you do that?
Pioneer folks got extremely lucky.
That is exactly want EM wants. Some EM executive will get a bonus for exceeding stretch goals. It is what it is.
Good luck retaining Pioneer people when oil is $100.
Early May. $ Depends on pay grade when accepting job with Exxon. Anywhere from $60-200K in stock is what I’ve heard from some PXD folks. They still have another year for their last set to vest, though, in 2027.
