@c7 For my team they let go 4 people about this time last year. 2 of them were the top 2 performers on the team, the other two were middle performers. All 4 were over the age of 45 and had 10+ years at dell. So it seems layoffs are not performance based as you say.
People are concerned about ODW because all managers are saying are things like "the changes are going to be massive" without elaborating on what massive means. You ask them, and they don't have a clue because they aren't getting any information. When I do some outside research, it means standardization, automation, systems consolidation, decommissioning sprawl and integration of Sales and Supply Chain. In my mind, this will include layoffs.

Also, who cares anyways... they layoff 24/7/365 but I personally don't forsee any major layoffs anytime soon. ODW has way too many people scared when it shouldn't.
idk but, ISG and CSG and likely sales folks will be hit the hardest in the next 18 months...
@OP Pray we clean house on all the incompetent leadership in ISG, particularly in engineering and product development. Horrible!!
@a4 a small correction: ODW did NOT go live in may for CSG. The rollout has been delayed, and in Office Hours Ops say there isn't a confirmed launch date.
It sounds like a broken record, but I believe One Dell Way(ODW) will be the tool to get rid of people. If you have buddies that worked on One Dell Way, give them a call. It's not only ODW, but I am assuming they are looking to change the different processes of how Dell employees work. Your first clue will be a change in the way you work. Your boss comes to you and says, this is the new process. ODW just came into effect on May 1st for CSG. Give it until August 1st to see the effects. THEN, as of August 1st, ISG will start to be effected. At that point, wait until November 1st to see the effects of that. By February 1st of next year, we will all get our answer. Make no mistake, they are he11 bent on increasing productivity by cutting people.
