Only Medtronic would do this to women right before Mother's Day.

@b6 Right, so you should get a pass because you're a woman and you have kids? Are you suggesting a man should be laid off instead of you for that reason? Or a younger person without kids? Is that how this works?
@gq You clearly don’t speak for all women. Ever think maybe I abbreviated it to avoid censorship?
Of course not because you are SO SMART. 🙄
@gt lol ok comparing yourself to a woman who just gave birth. good luck with that
@gr Anyone should lawyer up especially WM with all the DEI garbage and SCOTUS ruling in years past. This company's guilt of discrimination is plain and obvious over the last decade.
@ck lawyer up. I know of someone who had this happen at another company and they received a large settlement
@gm lol no woman would reference their “vag” but nice try
This wasn’t ‘done to women.’
It impacts everyone equally.
It’s sh-t all around.
I would argue it’s worse for my now laid off male colleague who was on medical leave a couple years ago for cancer treatment and is still in the 5 year post treatment monitoring period than those who just happen to have a vag (like me).
I just got back from ML, and am being laid off
Data speaks. Check how many female workers left or laid off in the last year or so.
Are you talking about the ones they let go while on maternity leave?
@b0 ofcourse they are. I had multiple of them and had to let go few because my vp decided (2weeks) into my new role in mdt
Was laid off last year, right after Mother’s Day 5/13 at age of 53,female, 3 months before 25years anniversary. Exactly the same feeling.
@OP, what has Medtronic done? Not being sarcastic or anything. I've been on severe medical leave for the past few weeks because of a long-term condition. I have not accessed my work phone and laptop (my surgeon and doctor basically told me to focus on my recovery than work). ItThe recent posts on this site have actually got me worried. Any details (facts not rumours) would be appreciated. Are female employees being let go?
