There is an option to receive outplacement services as part of the severance plan agreement. Has anyone gotten this and is it worthwhile? I'm thinking it just covers resume creation & feedback, interview preparation, job search strategies, etc. Stuff I already did or are doing already but I wanted to compare notes with you all. Thanks!

Not worth it unless you need help writing your resume or you haven't interviewed in years. Write your own resume with ChatGPT and do sample interview questions and answers for your role on the site too. You can do an entire mock interview on there and have the system give you multiple suggestions for answers for every possible question that may arise. So easy!
@OP it’s free so it’s worth trying. If you don’t like it, you need to continue it.
I decided to opt-in for the outplacement services. Let's see what they can offer since it's a free service. I can share my feedback once they contact me in 3 weeks.
I had it at another company. Totally worthless. If you had an option to take like $2k extra instead, do it.
Outplacement will help you write your resume. It can be a legal requirement, as the company "helped" you find a new job after you were laid off.
I know I qualified for it because it was an option on my severance plan agreement
How do you know if you qualified for this?
