Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Destroyed Credibility.

Nothng destroys credibility faster than eliminating a role and then reposting it a few months later. With this being said, I am actually glad they cut me as I'd have difficult time staying here

@pp To bad for American workers that jobs CAN be (re)posted in foreign countries.

@pq Odds are, they aren't junior because junior is what Medtronic employs.

@p2 I'm not the person you're responding to, but that's a whole lot of coping there.

Imagine pretending people that use this forum don't have performance problems. It's obvious you work in quite a junior role.

@ey No they're not. I work in Legal. They're not allowed to be reposted (in the same country) if the role has been eliminated. There are controls against it in WD, too.

@jn it’s interesting that you are gaslighting folks on work environment and quality of leadership situations you know nothing about. Perhaps you should look inward to figure out why you enjoy this type of rhetoric. Or perhaps your sociopathic games are your enjoyment.

@OP ..if you were any good, you'd still be employed at MDT or called back as a contractor. Just saying.

@OP You are correct. Roles are being posted before the “garden” period starts. If more of you would check on those affected by a Riff, you would understand how cruel the process is.

@cf Lol. Who's mad? You're the one coping because I told the truth.

Some of you might remember the message when you get sacked. You could choose to learn from it, but you're too busy coping.

MDT literally does not rehire roles that were laid off when they were truly laid off. If you were ever privy to anything remotely senior or anything more than a Junior Analyst, you might know that.

Keep coping.

@a5 wow. Leaders can also be poor employees too but legal and HR only protect the company. I am proof positive of that. You are right, I was wronged big time and I signed the agreement to leave. Not because of my performance. Not because I am litigious. I am not a protected class. Matter of fact, they needed me back (of course a contractor) and I out performed their current employees. You are a part of the darkness that is corporate america.

Oh Shut up. The stock price is up $33 in 26 years. Compare that to CAT or NVDA.

If they did that, it means It was your performance. They laid you off to avoid a lawsuit, then you sign the release.

You're either a potentially litigious type or protected class, or your boss did a bad job managing your performance.

Hopefully you can reflect on this and improve.
