I keep hearing that this Thursday the 23rd is the notification day for GNT. Anyone else hearing the same thing? If you get notified, how long before you would be off payroll?

NJ RIFs will be on off books on 8/8
I know of three people that got notified today, sorry to see them leave.

@ak a rif before the earnings call (on 4/27) makes way more sense to help get a rise in stock price. Just like the announcement today of all the office closures. Tomorrow definitely seems like the day
Depends on the country, too. In the US, VZ policy (can be found on the intrAnet) is 4 weeks before off the books. NJ had a longer time after the November 13K because of the WARN laws in NJ, and the number of people in NJ affected. (I think it was because it was >500 people from a single site, they had to gove those people 90 days. Thos was very unusual.) State WARN laws can vary, so be sure to Google your state's WARN law.
it is time to replace the CISO and direct reports, AI Security, Exposure Management should be collapsed to the NOC, why does Verizon need multiple teams doing the same thing. What is the return on investment for having a pen test team that the data goes no where, and then spend another million for a 3rd party Pen Test technology that report port scan data with no value. Spending millions of dollars on security platforms that isn't designed for Enterprises only to obtain a seat on that vendor's customer advisory board. Non experienced engineers assigned to develop project plans they have no idea how to construct. Multiple layers to generate a simple project status report only to find out it isn't the truth. Vendor updating a power point with incorrect information. Vendors not having the ability to export data except via .csv and or investments in IOT/OT platforms that are over reporting by 3x and no one owning it.
Some day at some time they’re going to announce 90% RIF. These are the same people who have been predicting a RIF apocalypse since February. Get a clue folks, nothing but speculation and stirring the pot.
Thursday is take your child to work day. That would be a new low for Verizon.
