Layoffs ki-led any sense of teamwork. Don't let anyone near your work or they'll take credit. Hide your files. Even managers are doing it.

@aa news flash the toxic culture started when Verizon was formed upon the merger with GTE … some toxicity was around before that but all the former bell people jumped off the ship GTE was failing but their folks took over the company from the management perspective and became the shot callers . A good company with a GREAT product …. Now decimated into what we have today completely toxic company with managers just looking to document and pip people … upper managers just looking to get a number to meet for a bonus structure with not a care in the world about what really drives the company … the product the customers AND MOST importantly your best assets and advocates your employees that there zero appreciation for anymore . CEO will get his bonus and leave the company leaner and not at all consumer friendly and decimated for the future . Good luck all . Toxicity 3.0 approaching
I have learned that you have to keep your knowledge and your work. Dont open your mouth when talking to a colleague because they will turn around and talk to the higher ups about your work as if they were the one who did it.
yeah this is correct. I was targeted by a colleague. my assignments kept getting stolen. its a cut throat environment. people dont stay in their lane. they will steal your work to survive
Sounds like Alltel all over again
Constant layoffs have made the company culture go to $hi*t
