Thread regarding Optum layoffs

DD Access change

Noticed they’ve separated onshore and offshore Datadog access.

Is this a response to concerns around PHI and PII exposure offshore? Or is there another operational or compliance reason driving the change?

If anyone in leadership has context on what prompted this decision, it would be great to understand the thinking behind it. Increased data controls are always worth discussing, especially would shape on/offshore future hiring pattern.

Internal breach by an Offshore employee -took 500,000+ patients and gave it to a nefarious actor. Now being listed for sale on dark web. Wondering when we will see an investigation started. Offshore is going to lose prod env access and remaining US employees will be slowly pivoted to prod support roles

Only secure data in DD is in the logs.. which is controlled by the app.
Wondering what app this is for in DD. PHI/PII should not be filtered.

I agree there scope creep on this site, but it is not moderated for content. It is a source for people to get information, so take what you can from that.

@ap But its not anymore. Its a forum where we can come together and ask questions. You are the outcast. Everyone else is here for updates on the company more than just layoffs. Get over it.
