I remember when being at Dell felt genuinely prestigious there was energy, momentum, and a strong sense of identity. Lately, it feels different. More like going through the motions than being part of something special.

the only pride there is now comes in a flag with pastel colors
20 years ago I also felt the same... man it changed. It's like a death from a thousand cuts.
EMC was a great place to work. You knew were you stood.
I think Dell feels different because of all the layoffs for the last several years and the impending AI based cuts.
milk dell is good at buying companies, milking them, running them into ground...
@cm My experience has been tbe exact opposite. Where I sit it's the Dell people you have to watch your back around. I've had two separate occasions where different dell people have tried to take credit for my work and another where they tried to blame me for not doing something that was their job to take care of. That last one was nearly successful and almost cost me my job.
I almost fell out of my chair when I heard you say prestigious when mentioning Dell. Is someone taking their gummies?
@OP Dude, how long have you been here? Dell has been a shithole place to work for over 10 years. I don't tell anyone where I work anymore. If I do, I get laughed at in the tech community. Everyone knows Dell is a joke.
I felt like that at EMC... then Dell arrived and that was that...
Yes. Our leadership, especially in ISG starting at AL and his directs absolutely are terrible. Dell is a joke.
Prestige at Dell? LoL someone is drunk
