NCR Voyix has agreed to sell its bank technology solutions business in Japan to local IT services provider NTT Data.
The transaction is expected to close "by the end of 2026", according to NCR Voyix, while financial terms have not been disclosed.
The business operates under the brand name NCR Commerce Japan and specialises in foreign exchange, lending, call centre, video teller, and network solutions for financial institutions.
for what it's worth, this one has been in the works for a year now even though it was only recently closed
I had no idea Voyix still had this Japanese bank business --thought they got out of it when they sold digital banking. I guess management found the crumbs under the sofa cushions. They must not have sold it for very much, though, because they didn't mention the amount in the PR or publish an 8-k, which they'd have to do if it was material.
It is sad that this is news -- and also alarming that it's the only thing they've got.
Parting out basically the entire company can only last so long. Eventually they're going to run out of things to sell.
