Can anyone tell me if there have been any layoffs in the APAC region recently?

@OP During the first wave last year, just over 10 employees were reportedly laid off by Ansys Japan, and during the second wave last week, at least five were let go. Most of them were older employees or those who had worked for the company for many years and made significant contributions.
In preparation for the layoffs that were bound to happen, department heads had already decided who to let go and had pre-selected people in positions or roles that would make it easier to justify their dismissal. However, there are still many managers who have not yet been laid off.
In the future, when the overlapping departments with Synopsys are consolidated, there will likely be another round of large-scale layoffs. At that time, the department heads on the Ansys side will undoubtedly be among those let go, and I don’t think Synopsys is the kind of company that would be so considerate as to simply integrate the remaining members as-is.
I came across posts and comments here about layoffs in India so I guess APAC is affected.
